In a world where new technologies move us away from physical contact a little more every day, Julie Bour wants to return to the primal way of expression: the body. Dance as the initial language, honest and unfailing witness of the subtleties of the human soul and its interactions with the outside world. In that primal place, vocabulary becomes instinctive, blunt and in constant evolution, fusing nature and nurture, culture and identity, better than any words can.
Without discarding the fundamental mutations induced by these technologies, the question becomes how to chose the purpose we give them, the place we allow them to take. In that search, dance can be a means to preserving our comprehension of this organic link with creation, this emotion carrier, this fantastic raconteur that is the human body.
