Teacher - Schedule


Julie is a New York based dance teacher, she teaches contemporary, contemporary partnering and Ballet classes. She has the pleasure to currently be in faculty at Peridance Capezio Center, the Joffrey Ballet School, Dance New Amsterdam, Steps on Broadway. She is also a guest teacher at the Alvin Ailey School, the Juilliard School, Cedar Lake contemporary ballet, Ballet Preljocaj, and travels across America and Europe to teach masterclasses and to set up works.

Her class incorporates all the different experiences she accumulated through out her carreer and will encourage you to bring details and quality in any given choreography. While exploring new balances through energy and movement she encourages dancers to define new counterweights necessary to support directional and level change. Resulting in increased accuracy in speed and control, the goal of the class is to help students being specific and unique, to allow them to form their own qualities within various choreographic styles and phrases.

Steps on Broadway JULY/AUGUST, Contemporary Partnering - SATURDAY 1pm
The purpose of this class is to actively encourage interaction between one another, to give dancers new opportunities to transfer and share their weight. Using counter balance, rolling, falling, suspension and lifting to design contemporary sequences of movement in which both motion and form will be in response to a partner.
We all know the floor is our partner, but not the only one...
